SPRING: The temperature for June averaged 74.6°F for June, which is 4.5°F above normal, and tied with 1981, 1984, 2008, and 2021 as the 6th warmest such month on record (since 1977).  The month was also the 2nd consecutive month with above-normal temperatures.  There were 12 days with temperatures that averaged below-normal or near-normal.  There were 10 days with maximums of 90°F or higher (Normal is 5) and 2 days with maximums of 100°F or higher.  Temperature extremes included 102°F on the 24th, which was a record for the day, and 50°F on the 1st.

July’s temperature averaged 81.1°F, which is 3.6°F above normal, and ranked as the 2nd warmest such month on record (since 1977) and the warmest since 2017.   The month was also the 4th consecutive such month with above-normal temperatures and the 2nd consecutive month with above-normal temperatures.  Only 3 days averaged near or below normal.  There were 13 days with maximums of 90°F or higher (Normal is 10).  Temperature extremes included 99°F on the 29th, which was a record for the day, and 66°F on the 4th.

The temperature for August averaged 74.4°F, which is 1.3°F below normal, and tied with 1989 as the 10th coldest such month on record (since 1977).   There were 20 days that averaged near or below normal.  There were 8 days with maximums of 90°F or higher.  There were 9 days with maximums below 80°F.  Temperature extremes included 94°F on the 17th and 57°F on the 30th.

Summer’s temperature averaged 76.7°F and tied with the summers of 1988, 1991, and 2023 as the 8th warmest such season on record. 

Precipitation in June totaled 3.00 inches (76 percent) and was 1.02 inches below normal.  The month ranked as the 21st driest such month on record and the driest since 2024. The month was also the 6th consecutive month with below-normal precipitation.  There were 14 days with measurable precipitation. The most received in a 24-hour period was 1.05 inches on the 9-10th.  There were only 3 clear days and 11 overcast days.

July’s precipitation totaled 3.41 inches (79 percent) and was .87 of an inch below normal.  The month ranked as the 20th driest such month on record and the driest since 2017. The month was also the 4th consecutive month with below-normal precipitation.  The month was also the 2nd consecutive month with below normal precipitation.  The period June-July precipitation totaled 6.41 inches and ranked as the 16th driest such period on record and the driest since 2002.  There were 10 days with measurable precipitation. The most received in a 24-hour period was 1.10 inches on the 14th.  There were only 4 clear days and 7 overcast days.  

August’s precipitation totaled only 2.03 inches (48 percent) and was 2.23 inches below normal.  The month ranked as the 10th driest such month on record and the driest since 1994. The month was also the 3rd consecutive month with below-normal precipitation.  The period July-August precipitation totaled 5.17 inches and ranked as the 8th driest such period on record and the driest since 1981.  There were only 7 days with measurable precipitation. The most received in a 24-hour period was 1.19 inches on the 13th.  There were 12 clear days and only 5 overcast days.  

Summer’s rainfall totaled only 8.44 inches and was ranked as the 9th driest such season on record and the driest 2008.  The period July-August rainfall totaled only 5.17 inches and ranked as the 8th driest such period on record.th.
